Soldier's Joy

An exciting arrangement of one of the most popular fiddle tunes of early America, it opens with an "a capella" rendition of the tune played by different sections of the orchestra and leads into a full orchestra reprise of the tune overlayed with a fun original, counter melody. The contrasting section is a Scottish tune called "Bottom of the Punch Bowl." A brief return to the original melody concludes this piece for intermediate to advanced performers.
