FRENCH BAROQUE features two courtly tunes from the baroque period of music in France, which is not as well known as German and Italian baroque music. PROMENADE, by Loeillet, is a minuet-type piece and RONDEAUX, by Marais, features the lower strings. Both pieces are an excellent introduction to playing flats and will pique your students' interest in this lesser known period of French music.
