It opens quietly with natural harmonics in fifths that accompany the melody in the cellos. The piece is driven forward by a constant eighth-note rythym that slows in cadenza-like B theme that features each section. The main theme returns and builds to a furious conclusion that will make this piece a favorite to perform for your intermediate to advanced players.
